Pet Exhumations
Pet exhumation is common! I have been doing this since the year 2000. Often when pet owners sell their home, they are concerned that future property developments may disturb a pet's remains.

Historically Pets are exhumed and the remains usually cremated but sometimes moved to be re buried in a new location.
I am told I am the only one in Victoria specializing in this activity.

Exhumations are done carefully and respectfully and should usually take between one and several hours depending on complexity. Obviously it is not always a pleasant task.
If the pet was not wrapped at the time or the wrapping has deteriorated, much extra time is required to refine the remains and separate from soil to ready for cremation. This may add to the cost.
A minimum charge is always applied and only estimates of cost can be given based on extensive information provided.
As some already know I undertook a total knee replacement - (DEC 2023).. and have now resumed exhumations at a manageable pace, I however need to preserve my ageing body and this requires me to assess a job critically with regard to several practical factors such as:-
Age of the burial
*The depth and accuracy of the pets location,
Size of animal and ease of access.
*My extensive experience is invaluable but there is no magic way to find an allusive body.

If considering an exhumation I suggest not delaying as it seems my other knee is also in line for replacement in the future and I may cease business entirely at some stage.

Client assistance if available with a dig may be helpful and possibly enable more challenging jobs to be accepted.

In the event a client would consider doing the exhumation themselves I am more than willing to advise and assist remotely, or if the client is prepared to do much of the difficult digging for me I will be able to conduct the final retrieval & packaging. I have recovered well as of Nov. 2025 and a timely inquiry is certainly encouraged.

After all these years it is difficult to say no and abandon my loyal followers!

Home Burials

I am no longer offering this service. If the owner is prepared to do it themselves I will be able to advise if necessary.
(Bear in mind....... any Pet Cemetery, if you can find one, is a private enterprise and as such cannot guarantee permanence, as has been witnessed by "Rowville" "Animalia" etc!)
